When we were first approached by Merri-Bek Council, the team were looking for a standout piece that could tie the playground together and reflect the parks adjacency to the airport — luckily we had the perfect structure in mind!
Taking inspiration from a classic airliner, Flight KL001 is the largest of our two planes and offers a range of play opportunities for both younger users and more confident climbers. The structure includes rubber hang out zones (that also double as a way to slide off the aircraft), pommels, seating and LOTS of places to climb and explore.
In addition to Flight KL001, we also supplied other complementary equipment for a range of ages and abilities, including a canoe swing and ninja warrior climber.
